RIFIKI-(Brailyn) Colleen will put your make-up on you.

YOUNG SIMBA-Jaxen-You are doing a great job Jaxen-Growing with every rehearsal. You have trouble with eye contact with the character you are talking to-Remember eye contact establishes relationship with the person you are talking to. We need to know how you feel about Timon and Pumbaa when you look at them.

YOUNG NALA-Better Abigail-Reaction to everything!

ZAZU-Devin-Go as BIG as you can with him-Careful with your diction!

MUFASA-Ethan-Don't second guess yourself-You had a GREAT rehearsal Friday-Great Eye contact with Young Simba!! More urgency when you come on to witness Simba down at the Stampede.

Sarabi-ATLANTIS-Royalty-You come off as Atlantis and not a queen at times. Watch your physical!!!

-There is a real disconnect of chemistry between you and Kate. On the scene before Can you feel the love tonight and during the song can you two at least smile at each other???

Kate-Still need more strength in Shadowlands-It could be our fault with all of our changes Friday. At times you have no expression on your face and remember Kate you are always telling a story onstage so we need to know how you are feeling at ALL TIMES!!

MALLORY-TIMON-Need to work laughing to crying bit. Your mistaken idea bits need to be quicker and more alarming to you during the realization and then the QUICK correction! More of a relationship with YOUNGER SIMBA

RIFIKI-Brailyn-Don't use stick like an old woman-play with it-Your Blocking in He lives in you is off. Please go over it. Don't hit the stick on the ground when your back stage.We can hear it.

Scar-Christian-Keep playing out and make lines stronger-You missed the face off with older Simba on-top of Pride Rock in 13. Get your lines down.

Jaxen: Great job today! Remember to look at the person that is talking to you. React more to Timon and Pumbaa. What do you think of them? Let us know when they talk to you or sing with you.

Abigail-React and do more in Can't wait to be King. Lots of times you are just watching Jaxen. You can smile and have fun and make fun of Zazu.

Dylan-Work with Kurt tomorrow with the reflection pool scene searching for your father.

Devin-GREAT! Go BIGGER with Zazu! Keep making him as BIG as you can! Work with Jonah tomorrow. Why do you want to see your father? Why is it important.

Kate-Don't drop Nala's strength in Shadowlands-You are hot and cold with that song. Remember what her objective is and Why she is leaving.

Christian-Great work today. Keep playing punctuation and not rushing your line-Sing out and NOT to the side.

Jaxen-Don't move when you sing I Can't wait to be king when you sing-Move and play hide and seek when you don't move IN PLACE/Try to keep working on VOLUME. Your growl with the hyenas needs to be more of a week growl that a chirp.

Abigail-React to Jaxen as Simba-When you don't sing-Make fun of ZAZU-Try not to fall into Abigail-STAY NALA onstage. Sometimes you watch the show onstage instead of being your character and fall into Abigail. Work on your physical as a lion.

Kurt-Is going to work with both tomorrow

Devin-Watch Diction-Still BIGGER-More frustration but BETTER. Work on SCOLDING Nala/Simba more and lecturing them.

Jaxon (Young Simba) Work on Volume! So important-You will be mic'd but you must be louder especially on the lines you are sad. Remember to face out and don't turn your back to the audience. REACT to everything. We need to fix some blocking issues with Scar and Sarabi scenes. I need you ro React bigger to Timon and Pumbaa .Pick on Zazu more.(Work with Kurt)

Abigail (Young Nala) Stay in character and don't lose your focus if something funny happens on stage. React to EVERYTHING. Don't turn your body upstage. Pick on Zazu more (Work with Kurt)

Devin (Zazu) Still need to be bigger with Zazu-More frustration. Keep working with Diction. (Work with Jonah)

Dylan (Simba) More Anger with Nala. Your reflection pool needs lots of work-I don't see a struggle still-that should be a very emotional moment when you see your father and your younger self playing in the reflection pool. More energy-Match Timon and Pumba in ACuma Ma tada. Need to see your decision with Rifiki bigger! Try to play more as Nala being your friend and how much she means to you in Can You feel the Love tonight. (Work with Kurt)

Kate (Nala) Wow! Great work today-Keep giving her growth. Don't drop character back into Kate on exit. Can you feel the Love tonight needs work-Come in sooner and let those animals surround you stage right and let them kbow your feelings for Simba. Stay strong!!!

TUESDAY REHEARSAL JULY 11-ALL CALLED NOTES FROM TODAY: Young Simba: Jaxon-Don't fall out of character when you're onstage-React to EVERYTHING and OVER REACT because your typical reaction is just not big enough. Watch body onstage-Make sure you face out and don't sing behind people-be downstage or in a window, Zazu-Devin-Play Zazu much bigger!!! Much More frustration with Young Nala and Simba-Much BIGGER reactions-Much Bigger Facial expressions. Young Nala-Abigail: REACT to everything onstage-and REACT BIGGER! Don't fall into Abigail on stage. Don't say the lines or sing lines of other characters during scenes and songs. OLDER Simba-Dylan-Find URGENCY in your Objective as Simba-Put as much energy onstage as you do offstage sitting with others-and I mean that as a compliment, What is to lose if you don't win your objective. What do you want in the show???Know what's at stake for your character and play against your obstacles with great ENERGY and PASSION. OLDER Nala-Kate: You need to make Nala STRONGER-MORE confident onstage. Watch Shadow lands in other productions on Youtube and notice Nala's DRIVE/HER STRENGTH. We need that from you much much more in your song and scenes. Put more strength behind your lines and passion in Shadow lands that you must leave to find help! Sirabi: Atlantis-Need to connect with the Lionesses more-they need to know who you are as royalty when you come onstage-TOO MUCH ATLANTIS. Work on Physical walk. • Cast-Make sure your going over your lines before the show and song lyrics. Jonah said there were lots of line drops. You should still have your script with you. Aimey Schmidt looks at her script before every show and during the show!!!
• Autumn-we need to move you back when you write on self-see me
• Autumn-Please hit your X your playing a foot downstage
• Circles still a bit sloppy on Written in Stone (Stage right)
• Autumn-Look over your script and songs you had a few moments tonight where you seemed unsure of your lines and song.
• Kenzie/Claudia/Cricket-Blocking the audience from seeing the Matchmaker scene HOUSE right. I gave Kenzie this note but you did not adjust-WORK BEFORE SHOW
• Autumn you are not saying the line guessing you name before you settle on Ping-work
• Christian dropped a few lines tonight (Avalanche and Changsong scene)
• Avalanche scenes-LOTS of dropped lines
