Sunday notes:

FATHOMS BELOW: Sea Creatures need more energy and expression.  Emma Kane, Aimey Schmidt, and several others have great energy and facial expressions.  Please match that - the first scene sets the tone for the whole show!

      Please do not breathe in the middle of the word "mysterious".

DAUGHTERS OF TRITON:  Mersisters - some of the physical teasing is too much and is becoming distracting.

WHERE'S ARIEL? - Triton please move and look for Ariel as well.

FINDING SCUTTLE - Ariel (Sophie) and Flounder (Hannah) interact with each other.  Please stop looking at the directors.

HUMAN STUFF -  Seagulls - please do not be late with "Thing a ma bobs"  "Jigs" "Bobs"
                                                    ENUNCIATE - your song is comedy relief - the audience can't laugh if they don't understand your
                                                     words
                                                    Jack and Mya - MORE ENERGY!

INTO TRITON'S COURT - Sea Creatures on SL were late on thier entrance - only 7 measures to get there.

PART OF YOUR WORLD - Sophie - much better on your blocking - now pull the audience into your song with your facial expression and dynamics (loud or soft) in your song.  Try singing lying on your back to feel those low belly breaths to support your tone.

UNDER THE SEA - Only Mya sings "Uh-oh".  Trey- longer "yeah".  Can we make the circle bigger on SL to balance the picture?
                                    Sea Creatures - sing with faces out during the circle.  Ariel - louder on your line "Look a ship", if we don't hear that, we don't know why you are leaving.

PRINCE ERIC'S SHIP - Flounder - louder on "Wow".

Water girls - Exit before Ariel's Reprise 2 of Part of Your World.

SHE'S IN LOVE - MORE ENERGY! Hailey stay focused, Elizabeth more facial expression, Flounder - go straight to center with mic - please be careful with the cord. Keep your faces up towards the back row of chairs.

FLOUNDER FLOUNDERS - Flounder (Hannah) enunciate lines.

POOR UNFORTUNATE SOULS - Ursula - deliver line "poor souls with no one else.." then move. MUCH BETTER ON VOLUME! :-)

Faye - great job on saying the "He gonna kill himself a crab" from CR.

ONE STEP CLOSER - Ariel - don't forget off stage "Ah" on pg. 77-78 on the nights you are NOT Ariel.

LAGOON - Flounder (Hannah) louder on "There's only one day left"

KISS THE GIRL - Sea Creatures - front row - find steady beat. Emma Kane and Maddy/Sophie now hold the boat.  Emma carries the boat off SR. Sing out to make up for Mersisters being out of the scene.

THE CONTEST - Nadia - great job finishing your solo then stepping back! Princesses - too much pushing and shoving.  It's distracting.  Please do not add extra singing lines.

TIME'S UP: Add Ariel to the "Ah's" off-stage, then blend into only Ursula.

POOR UNFORTUNATE SOULS REPRISE: Ursula - find important downbeats to land your words on  at the beginning so that you don't have leftover music. - voice, dry, bind, yes, break, is , try...

CONFRONTATION - Flounder, Sebastian, Flotsam, Jetsam - louder on your lines to be heard over music. Ariel, be happy to get your voice back.

Sebastian and Flounder - don't forget you were added to the water while Ariel turns back into a human

Everyone should be happy when Ariel is turned back into a human.  Smile joyously during the Finale.

I would like to work specifically on HUMAN STUFF, SHE'S IN LOVE, THE CONTEST, UNFORTUNATE REPRISE.
