2018 TCST Rules
1.       No food, drink, or gum in the theatre.  Bottled water is fine, and you can bring a snack (fruit/crackers/PBJ/etc….).  We will have a break, but no food near the theatre seats-please eat all food ON STAGE.  Please make the snack small (crackers, fruit, etc) and fairly “clean”.  IF your child has food allergies or has a medical condition please let us know so that appropriate measures can be taken. Please bring snacks and do not use the college vending machines as there is not enough time to get the children to them during break.
2.      Listen to the Director and not your friends while performing.
3.      Worry about your own part, NOT someone else’s.
4.      Write down all blocking. (*We will write the blocking down for ages 5-6-7) So you will need a pencil every day.
5.      NO fighting, arguing, or name-calling.  It is hard to put on a good show when you do not get along.
6.      There are no small parts in theatre, just big egos- stay grounded.
7.      Bad behavior will result in loss of props, costumes, or dismissal from the production.
8.      Bring your script, music, and pencil to rehearsal every day.  Do not lose your script or you will have to buy your next copy.
9.      No roughhousing or running during rehearsal. Parents will be called and your child will be cut from the production if they cannot behave at rehearsals.
10.  Do not jump off of the stage or touch the curtains, set, or other people’s things
11.  Wear comfortable shoes that do not fall off of your feet.  NO flip flops.  We prefer tennis shoes, dance shoes, or sandals that strap to your feet.  You will be moving, dancing, and singing on stage so dress comfortably. You may need to buy certain shoes for the production.
12.  RELAX, ENJOY, AND HAVE FUN!
13.   Please go over your child’s songs and lines daily at home. THEY MUST REHEARSE AT HOME to get memorized.
14.  Head lice found on any child must get clearance from a doctor before they can return to rehearsals.
15.  No DSI video games, computers, iPads, or iPods at rehearsals.
16.  We prefer parent do not sit-in during rehearsals.
17.  In the case of bad behavior in Theatre Camp we will notify the parents immediately with a warning first. Contact a second time will cause dismissal of the child from camp with no refund.
18.  Students will be asked to refrain from playing on electronic devices during camp but can be on them during breaks and lunches.
19.  Drop off for Theatre Camp will be Studio Theatre front doors at the Studio Theatre at Southeast Campus. Please do not drop your child off any earlier than 8:50am and please pick them up no later than 4:05pm
20.
Special note to parents:  We prefer that you leave your kids for the few hours of rehearsal.  If you feel you need to stay it is usually best if you hang-out in the lobby areas.  Please let Mark, and Lauren do their jobs directing and try not to interfere. There is nothing worse than a stage mother or father trying to direct their child or the production-please refrain from doing this. We would like to invite you help us run the box office during the rehearsal time if you are staying- we need people to man the phone and sell tickets in person.

Special Notes on Rules
Snacks:  Please make sure you child has lunch before rehearsal (or dinner before shows).  They can bring a snack for break time but please send on small snacks and bottled water with them.  They will not be allowed to visit the pop and candy machines because of college classes that are going on in the building and they will not be allowed to leave the rehearsal area during break time.  Once they are in costume during the last week they will only be allowed to drink water in costume so that we don’t ruin the costume.  Once again if your child has a medical conditions that requires special needs please talk to Mark and we can make arrangements.  Thank you for your cooperation.
Entertainment for Rehearsals:  There will not be a lot of down time during rehearsals is it unlikely that you will need entertainment for these, however if you wish to have something to work on, we suggest books or coloring books. You may also bring journals, crafts, or puzzle books. Please do not send or bring a large bag of games or toys to rehearsals. NO HAND HELD VIDEO GAMES.   If you have questions please ask.
Cell Phones:  We realize that many kids carry cell phones to call parents after rehearsal.  They must be off and not played with during rehearsal so that they are not a distraction.  We will always have our cell phones and office phone to call parents if needed.  If a cell phone becomes a problem you will be asked not to bring it back.  We are not responsible for lost or broken phones.

Please look over the schedule carefully.  If you have any conflicts please inform Mark immediately so he can note it on the master calendar.  You are expected to be at every rehearsal that you are called for and ALL technical rehearsals and performances.  Parents- if your child shows up on a day when he/she is not called, you will be called and he/she will be sent home.  While we love working with your children, we are not babysitters and cannot be responsible for your child if they are not supposed to be at rehearsal.  If you have a question about this please ask Mark.
Also, please abide by ALL deadlines.  We are on a very tight schedule and if you do not turn in bio information it will likely be left out.
All Cast Notes will be posted on www.tcccst.blogspot.com AND on our TCST Facebook page.

Special Dates and Times:
1)      Consent and Waiver form Due June 19th
2)      Information sheet- Due July 5thnd.
3)      T-Shirt Money ASAP!  You will not receive your shirt until it is paid for and if it is not paid for by the performance dates it may be sold to someone else.
4)      Bio forms, and Pictures (for those named on sheet) Due July 5thth

TICKETS
There are NO comp tickets for the show. This production is a fundraiser for theatre scholarships for incoming freshmen at Tulsa Community College Theatre. All tickets are $10 for all ages. We hope to have a big crowd for the shows so please be prepared to purchase tickets when they go on sale.  The first day that tickets are on sale we will have a time after rehearsal for cast and crew to purchase tickets prior to opening for general purchase.
NOTE:  Parents will not be allowed in the theatre prior to the show and house opening.  There are no parents allowed backstage this year. We do not allow individual video tapes to be made during the performance, as it could be dangerous to the actors and distracting to both the actors and audience.  We also do not allow photos to be taken during the performance- we will have dress rehearsal/photo call during tech week.
