CAST-IF YOU HAVE TIME STUDY THE NETFLIX-SHREK THE MUSICAL-TO STUDY ACTION/REACTION FROM THOSE ACTORS AND THEIR PHYSICAL-GREAT HOMEWORK!!!!
CAST-Always SING when your dancing or onstage!!!!
CAST-Go over your choreography on the private Shrek CHoreography page-Add Jennifer Andrasko as a friend!!! ASK her to add you to the page.
PARENTS-If your child does not have a conflict written down and they miss rehearsal-PLEASE let us know ASAP!
Autumn/Trace/Parker-Highlight your punctuation in the script so you play the rhythm of the lines the playwright wrote correctly-especially Donkey with !!!! and Autumn with ALL CAP LINES!! Define all your entrances and exits in show-MAKE THEM BIG/MEMORABLE-"Grab the audience coming on-let them hold you-and then when you leave-let them miss you"
Parker-Stay out of your head when performing-Just do it and don't second guess yourself-get the notes AFTER rehearsal. Go over your script and songs and have them down so you don't even think of them-they just flow out of you like water-this will do great things with your CONFIDENCE.
****Study Shrek on Netflix with the musical-It will help you realize how much ACTION-REACTION to play on stage!
Joey-Go over the scenes that Quinton sent you for Farquaad-Study Shrek the Musical on Netflix and study Farquaad tempo rhythms with movement and vocal delivery.
Makayla-Dragon-You had MANY victories Friday-Continue to come out of your box and watch video's of Aretha Franklin and Jennifer Hudson. Keep working on her physical-and the different meanings in your song: You're going to stay!!!
Jaxen/Mya/Brynlee-The Three pigs. Jaxen-you hit a home run with your physical and vocal the other day-Mya and Brynlee need to follow suit and come up with a big physical-Keep your diction clear and concise with the accent
Mamma/Daddy/Little Shrek-Noah-Great on your blocking now work on staying backstage during the show and be ready to come onstage-Work on your dances. Eminol-Work on Pappa Ogre being more fatherly and LOUDER
Atlantis/Eminol/Kyra-Three Bears-Nice character work Atlantis on Friday-I like her voice-Eminol you need to gain confidence and be LOUDER and find a character voice-You are too much yourself onstage. Kyra-Continue to enunciate your lines and be louder.
Emma/Brittain: Peter Pan and Wicked Witch-Find strong physicals for them entering. Emma-Have the iconic Peter Pan stance when your on-Brittain work on Wicked Witch voice-Too much of your own.
Big Bad Wolf and Ugly Duckling-Work on your physicals-but I love both of your energy.
Narrators-You need more energy still-Make OUR story exciting and gives us a lot of energy!!!
TWEEDLE DEE/DUM-You both need to study these characters with Alice and Wonderland on YouTube-They have a certain way they talk and move-Do your character research!!!
Three Blind Mice-You three need to focus more onstage. A lot of times your talking (except Cadence) and not focusing on what you need to do-Amberlyn will work with you Monday and Tuesday-You also need to sing every time your onstage. FOCUS-FOCUS-FOCUS!!!
Fairies-Need to enter and exit as fairies-We will work on it on Monday!
Puss N Boots-More reaction-Study Puss N Boots on Shrek cartoon on YouTube-need more physical with him!!!
Guards/Knights-React off of everything that happens onstage including what Farquaad and Dragon do. Owen-Own the stage as Captain of the Guards!
Tree/Squirrel/Birds/Bambi-Get more into character with movement-react react, react!!! Aubrey-Study what a squirrel does. Bambi-Wonderful facial expression-But cheat out on morning person-not in-SEE ME
Gingy-Great voice-Keep working with your puppet-Fairy God Mother needs to react off of everything as well-More fear with Farquaad in the inquisition scene!!!
Pinocchio-Avery-You are soooooo consistant-Watch the Netflix Musical so you can work on his scream and study mannerisms-Go farther......
Rats/Pied Piper-Great job with your song-Addison-react more to your rats doing stuff with Fiona and not you!!!
